The holy journey of Hajj

“And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way.“ ( Ali Imran, 97 )

The Prophet(peace be upon him ) said "Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity and wrongdoing, he, or she, will come out as the day he, or she, was born - pure and sinless." (Agreed upon, Bukhari and Muslim)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said "A Mabroor Hajj - complete and accepted - has no reward for it but Jannah." (Bukhari and Muslim)

The pilgrimage is the fifth pillar of Islam and a religious duty that Muslims must undertake if they are physically and financially capable, at least once in their lives.

Apart from being an obligatory religious duty, Hajj is seen to have a spiritual merit that provides the Muslims with an opportunity of self-renewal.

It aims to bring Muslims from all nationalities together, cleansing them of sin and bringing them closer to Allah.

Every year, the rituals of Hajj take place in a five-day period, starting on 8 and ending on 12 Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth and last month of the Islamic calendar. Among these five days, the 9th Dhul-Hijjah is known as Day of Arafah, and this day is called the day of Hajj.

The final days of Hajj coincide with Eid al-Adha, or the festival of sacrifice, celebrated by Muslims around the world to commemorate Ibrahim's test of faith. During the three-day Eid, Muslims slaughter livestock and distribute the meat to the poor.

  1. When do you announce your Umrah Packages? UMRAH

Pricing and scheduling process are still ongoing. The packages will be announced in the second half of September. We continue to provide you with the best quality and services with the cheapest rates.

  2. Could you introduce the umrah hotels? UMRAH

We basically work with 4 and 5-star hotels. We try to deal with the best and the closest hotels in these categories.

  3. Which package is better for me? UMRAH

Practising Umrah only takes few hours. Increasing the number of days for your visit allows you to perform more than one umrah, thus spend more time in the holy places.

  4. When can I perform an umrah? UMRAH

Actually, you can perform Umrah at any time. You can go to Saudi Arabia in either Hajj or Umrah season with the required visa. The important issue is Saudi Arabia’s visa restrictions for some special periods.

  5. What is the difference between Hajj and Umrah? UMRAH

There is no specific time or season for Umrah but Hajj has some rituals and has to be performed on a special day. There is no “Day of Arafat” for Umrah like in Hajj. There is no “Stoning of Devil” for Umrah like in Hajj. There is no “mandatory sacrifice of an animal for Allah” for Umrah as there is in Hajj.

  6. When do you announce 2017 Hajj Packages? HAJJ

We will probably announce the packages next March or April.

  7. What does Hajj al-badal mean? HAJJ

There are some rules outlined below to explain Hajj al-badal; Hajj al-badal is not valid in the case of the obligatory Hajj on behalf of anyone who is able to perform Hajj by him/herself. Hajj al-badal may be performed on behalf of a sick person who has no hope of recovery, or someone who is physically incapable, or who who has passed away, but not on behalf of anyone who is poor or unable to do it because of political or security circumstances. It is not permissible for anyone to perform Hajj on behalf of another unless he/she has already performed Hajj for him/herself. If he/she does that, then his Hajj counts for him/her and not for the other person. It is permissible for a woman to perform Hajj on behalf of a man, and for a man to perform Hajj on behalf of a woman. It is not permissible for anyone to perform Hajj on behalf of two or more people in one period of Hajj, however, it is permissible to do Umrah for him/herself – or on behalf of someone else – and to do Hajj on behalf of a different person. It is not permissible for anyone to have the aim of earning money by performing Hajj on behalf of another; rather his/her aim should be Hajj and reaching those holy places, also doing an act of kindness towards his/her brother/sister by performing Hajj on his behalf. If a Muslim died without having performed the obligatory Hajj, but he/she met all the conditions of it being obligatory, then it is obligatory to perform Hajj on his/her behalf from the wealth that he/she left behind, whether he/she left a well to that effect or not.

  8. Why is the Kaaba covered with a black curtain (Kiswah)? Miscellaneous

The Kiswah is woven from black silk, with various verses of the Holy Quran embroidered into it in gold and silver threads. The cover is 658 square meters long and is made of 670 kilograms of pure silk. For embroidery, 15 kilograms of golden threads are used. It consists of 47 pieces of cloth, and each piece is 14 meters long and 101 centimetres wide. The Kiswah is wrapped around the Kaaba and fixed to the ground with copper or silver rings. Kaaba is the heart of our universe and people symbolise that heartbeat by circumambulating around the Kaaba. To date, Kaaba has been covered with different coloured covers. Abbasid caliphate Nasr changed it to a black cover and it remains until today.

  9. Can I travel by myself or travel with a group package? ORGANISATION

Once the visa and the accommodation are arranged, our guests either travel on their own or with a group.
